Opposition accuses government of broken promises

Opposition political party The Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) dr. Ante Starcevic, has accused the current Croatian government of breaking its earlier promises.
HSP dr. Ante Starcevic says that the government made promises back in April 2012 that it would continue to actively celebrate the European Day of Remembrance for the victims of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, which is celebrated every year on 23 August.
It was given back then as one of the main reasons for the goverment demoting the Bleiburg commemoration day and pulling out of sponsorship of that event as a place where the victims of all totalitarian and authoritarian regimes would be honoured.
HSP dr. Ante Starcevic says that according to the standard uncoordinated statement by the ruling "Kukuriku coalition", no official programme has been prepared on the occasion of the European Day of Remembrance for the victims of totalitarian and authoritarian regimes. It continues to say that the ruling party does not plan in any way to mark this day, despite its earlier promises.
