Underwater research on antique ships close to Liznjan
Croatian Times
Archeologists are hoping to uncover the secrets of two ancient ships that sank in Croatia’s Istria peninsular, close to the town of Liznjan.
The UNESCO-sponsored team from the International Centre for Underwater Archeology in Zadar say they believe the ships date back to the 1st and 4th centuries.
Funding for the dives will also come from Liznjan.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
