New Zealand climber falls to his death near Omis
Croatian Times
A climber from New Zealand was found dead in Croatia on Sunday evening.
Yannick Branson, 25, was found after falling from a cliff on the outskirts of the little Adriatic town of Omis.
A female friend from Finland who was climbing with him was found injured and in a state of shock stuck halfway up the 250 metre cliff.
Twenty rescuers were involved in the search for the couple.
Five years ago a Polish climber died on the same cliff.
