Fake doc shocks Croatian television

Croatian Times

Croatian national television HTV has apologized to its viewers after a man who completed only primary school was invited onto a top political talk show and introduced as an economic expert with four doctorates in different fields.

Darko Mihajlovic admitted later to daily newspaper Novi List he does not have any doctorates.

In the talk show lead by host Aleksandar Stankovic, Mihajlovic who has worked as an accountant for 35 years "after completing a brief course" as he admitted, strongly criticised the government and Croatia’s politicians, but praised Britain’s Labour Party and its leader.

"The Labour Party's new leader clearly told bankers to be afraid of him when he comes int power. Saying that in London, the centre of neo-libaralism is almost as brave as talking against Hitler just before WWII," Mihajlovic has said.

He also accused different Croatian ministers and the government of creating a bad economic policy.
