General Gotovina asks Croats to be optimists

Croatian general Ante Gotovina who was released from prison by the International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague last week, has called upon Croats to look towards the future.

"The victory in war belongs to history. Look forward, let's go forward, because our future depends on us," he told Radio Bistrica .

Asked what his message would be to young people in Croatia, the 57-year-old general said: "To be optimists and to believe in the future and in themselves".
