Penniless commuter sparks viral support

A man who couldn’t afford to get to work sparked a viral Facebook campaign when an outraged commuter send the government a message highlighting the man’s plight. In a Facebook message to the government, the furious commuter said: "A man came to the station to go to work but only had 10 kuna on him. He asked me if he could borrow another 10 so he could afford to get to work." He added that the man hadn’t been paid for seven months. The scolding attracted 14,000 likes and the government responded by saying it would do what it could to improve the situation.
