Croat tourist's nightmare in India

Croatian Times

A Croatian man who lost his memory after an accident which resulted in his leg being amputated has asked to be reunited with his family. Marcel Koprivic was admitted to hospital in Goa, India, Tuesday, after police found him lying by a railway track covered in blood and without a passport. Surgeons removed his mutilated left leg and then realised that extreme blood loss and trauma had caused him to lose his memory. It was only when Croatian tourist Marijan Rogic read about him in a local paper and turned up to offer help that the hospital was able to find out who he was. Speaking to him in his native language, Rogic was able to find out his name and where he was from. Now the Croatian Embassy is helping to locate Koprivic his family.
