Ambassador Josko Paro to give a speach in Arlington

Croatian Times

Josko Paro, the Croatian ambassador to the United States, will discuss his nation’s history during a program to be held on Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. at Central Library in Arlington.

Paro, who also has served as his country’s ambassador to the Netherlands and the United Kingdom, will discuss Croatia’s role as a cultural crossroads between East and West in Europe, The Sun Gazette reports.

Paro’s appearance is part of a partnership between the Arlington library system and Croatia, facilitated by the U.S. Department of State.

As part of the partnership, county library director Diane Kresh has visited several libraries in Croatia, and the county library system now features a wide-ranging selection of books on Croatian art, literature, business and language.
