Croatian Times

Former world chess champion Gary Kasparov has been given Croatian citizenship. The Russian chess Grandmaster known for politically opposing Russian president Vladimir Putin, has even met Croatian Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic this week. Gary Kasparov has in the past often spent his holidays in southern Croatian town of Makarska. Gary Kasparov is likely to run as a candidate for the President of World Chess Federation (FIDE) and has indicated in the past that he would represent Croatia if he ran for the position.

I would like for someone to explain how he got citizenship so quickly when the Croatian Diasporas have to wait up to 3 years for confirmation. This is a slap in the face to all Croatians by this goverment and someone should look into this corrupt issue. This is shameful goverment.
