Lollobrigida band wins Best Regional Act award

The Croatian Lollobrigida trashy electro pop band has won the Best Regional Act award at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2009 (EMA).

Lollobrigida triumphed over bends such as Darkwood Dub, Dubioza Kolektiv, Elvis  and Jackson & Superhiks.

It will receive the award at the MTV Europe Music Awards ceremony in Berlin on 5 November.

The Croatian band is also in the group of 21 European performers competing for the "Best European Act" award.

Anyone who wants to can vote at website www.mtvema.com until 2 November, and the winner will be announced during a big show on 5 November.

In June 2009, the single and video spot "Volim te" (I love you) was released, and it then reached the top position on the Pure MTV Adria Chart list.

The Lollobrigida band has great recognition, according to its singer Ida Prester, who is also a TV hostess.
