Mayor Zeljko Kerum wants to bring U2 to Split

Croatian Times

Split Mayor Zeljko Kerum met with Hajduk Split football club head Josko Svagusa
and club board member Ivica Surjak yesterday (Mon) to discuss the concert season.

Kerum is allegedly interested in bringing U2 to Split next year.

The Croatian media have reported the city of Split has received an offer to organize a U2 concert next summer.

Hajduk stadium is the only place where the concert could be held, so the Split mayor wanted to discuss holding it there.

It could also be a great opportunity for the club and the stadium, considering that the stadium’s grass field is in bad condition and needs to be replaced.

If the concert takes place at the stadium, the organizers will be obligated to pay for replacement of the grass.

The daily 24 sata has reported the concert was not the only topic discussed. Club management is reportedly dissatisfied with Hajduk Split coach Eduardo Reja’s results but is nevertheless is planning to keep him for a while.
