Famous British violinist Nigel Kennedy has been confirmed to perform at this year's 63rd Dubrovnik Summer Festival, reports daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija. The festival in its 63rd season is one of Europe's oldest festivals, presenting rich and vibrant theatre, ballet, classic music, opera and film programme. The ambience of the southern Dalmatian city makes it a unique meeting place of the world's and Croatia's finest artists and this year will feature the man who sold over 2 million copies of his recording of Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. "Kennedy will perform at this year's festival on the Revelin terrace in the company of guitarist Jarek Smietana, with Yaron Stavi on bass and Krzysztof Dziedzic on drums," said festival programme organiser Ivica Prlender. The Dubrovnik Summer Festival will be held from 10 July to 25 August.
