Thirty members from the Pedalinac Cycling Club in Croatia are preparing for a 2900 kilometer long journey by bike to this summer's Olympic games in London. The group will set off from Croatia on 25 June and have invited all bike enthusiasts to join them for the first few kilometers of their journey, writes website dalje.com.
The idea to bike to the Olympic games in London came about after two members of Pedalinac, Mladen Gacesa and Marko Mitic, biked to the Olympic games in Beijing in 2008.
The pair biked 12,000 kilometers through Romania, Serbia, Russia, Ukraine, Mongolia and China.
The trip to London will see the group bike through Croatia, Hungary, Slovakia, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and England.
