The world's best tourist films will be on show at the 1st International Tourist Film Festival - Zagreb Tourfilm Festival- when it is held in the Croatian capital Zagreb from 4-6 July, reports website Tportal.
The festival, to be held at Zagreb's Mimara museum, will feature films from 37 countries around the world. Films will be judged by a five-member judging panel in four main categories. The first category will be for short films no longer than two minutes, category two will be for films no longer than seven minutes long, category three will be one hour long films and the last category will be for the best TV reports and TV documentary film.
Films that promote various forms of tourism, such as, extreme sports, nautical tourism, hotel and resorts, rural tourism and many other forms, will compete for the awards. During the three-day festival a roundtable discussion on how to make a good tourist film and new technology applications will also be held.
