There is to be a Hollywood film made about the life of one of the greatest inventors of the 20th century, Croatian born Nikola Tesla, reports daily newspaper Jutarnji list.
Filming for the movie, which apparently will see Hollywood star Christian Bale play Tesla, should begin this autumn in Chicago. Croatia celebrated the 156th anniversary since the birth of the famous inventor on 10 July, who was born in the village of Smiljan, in Gospic (Lika-Senj County).
Chicago has been chosen as the film's location and it will also see Nicolas Cage play the role of Thomas Edison. There has also been talk the acting cast will feature Croatian Rade Serbedzija, Martin Sheen, Megan Fox and Jessica Alba.
The project entitled "Tesla, Ruler of the World" will be part produced by Universal Studios.
