World Record 3D projection at Pula Film Festival
Croatian Times
World records were set at the 59th International Film Festival in Pula on Tuesday night. The first 3D film projection was held at Pula's famous amphitheatre arena and it set records in more ways than one.
The 3D films were shown from a distance of 73.6 meters, more than any other known film screaning, and at a viewing angle of 60 degrees. The world attendence record was also broken with 5,920 people at Pula's arena, making it the highest recorded number of viewers of a 3D projection in the world.
There was one more recorded also set, the films were viewed on the brightest projector in the world. Croatia's first full length 3D film, "Slucajni Prolaznik" by Jozo Patljak, and Mark Webb's 3D film "The Amazing Spider-Man", were shown on the record breaking night, reports Croatian radiotelevision.
