The Croatian premiere of the theatre play "In the Solitude of Cotton Fields" directed by Ivica Buljan opened the 16th International Festival of Contemporary Theatre "Zadar Dreams" last night (Mon) in Zadar.
The festival will take place in a deserted building of the textile factory complex ‘Boris Kidric’ until August 12.
Buljan’s Solitude of Cotton Fields, based on a contemporary piece by French author Bernard-Marie Koltes, was first performed in Ptuj, Slovenia this June.
The performance in Zadar is unique because the famous Boris Kidric complex is going to be demolished this autumn.
The festival will host artists from Slovenia, Austria, France, Spain and Croatia, reports Croatian radiotelevision.
