Croatian Times
One of the most significant cultural festivals in Croatia, The Split Summer Festivial or Splitsko Ljeto, in its 58th year, is set to close tonight (Tues) with a concert from mulit award winning Croatian pianist Aljosa Jurinic, before the festival's "Judita" award is presented.
Jurinic, who was won many local and international awards, including this year's "Robert Schumann" competition, will perfrom works by Haydn, Schumann, Chopin and Liszt tonight at the closing concert, reports Croatian radiotelevision.
After the concert the "Judita" award for the best artistic achievements in the music and drama program at the 58th Split Summer Festival will be presented.
The main feature of this year's festival was the return to Peristil, after three years of renovation, which saw the premier of the opera "Nabucco" by Giuseppe Verdi on the opening day of the festival.
