'Skinnies' beat 'Fatties' in Makarska soccer match

For the first time in recent years, the "skinnies" beat the "fatties" 4-2 at the traditional "Fat and Thin" soccer match held on the weekend in the Dalmatian town of Makarska.
The largest player in the "fatties" line-up was 168 kilogram Davor Okmandzic, followed closely by Frane Santric at close to 165 kilograms. The lightest player for the "skinnies" was 44 kilogram Josko Vusio, even when weighed with his soccer boots on.
The match was a hard fought, fun encounter with both sides struggling to keep up with the play. After the match, both teams decided that they will form an association so that the traditional soccer match remains a tradition in Makarska, reported daily newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija.
