Canadian Dream Pop Duo Coming to Zagreb

Canadian dream pop duo Memoryhouse are to perform at Cinema Europa in the Croatian capital Zagreb for the first time on 27 August.
Currently touring Europe for the first time, Memoryhouse is one of the most interesting new bands whose music was influenced by various bads and musicians such as My Bloody Valentine, Slowdive, Galaxie 500, Ride, Cocteau Twins, Emmylou Harris and Dusty Springfield.
The band was formed in the 2009 as a multimedia project in which a classical music composer Evan Abeele combined his instrumental compositions with photographs and short films by photographer Denise Nouvion who is also the band vocalist.
They signed with cult U.S label Sub Pop that has, in the past, published bands like Nirvana and Soundgarden, and Mogwai and Iron and Wine in the present.

Croatia to take part in building two pipelines
Representatives of the Governments of Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, and Bosnia and Herzegovina signed a memorandum highlighting their intention to construct two new pipelines - the Trans-Adriatic (Trans Adriatic Pipeline, TAP) and the Ionian-Adriatic (Ionian Adriatic Pipeline, IAP), the news agency RIA Novosti reports.
