U.K.'s Giant Robots to build biggest sculpture in Croatia

Croatian Times

British art collective "Giant Robots", which will be in Croatia's capital Zagreb until 9 September, will make the largest ever temporary sculpture made of recycled waste in a public space in Croatia.

The art collective is renowned for its giant statues, big robots or creatures from fantasy, made exclusively from recycled wood, discarded wood materials or old furniture. The Zagreb sculpture will be made from domestic waste material from the city, and will demonstrate the importance of recycling and conserving natural resources and protecting the environment.

Known for eco-activism in art, Giant Robots' works are exhibited throughout the UK and the U.S. The Zagreb sculpture will be displayed at Gallery Bacva in the capital until the end of the year, reports Croatian radiotelevision.
