Croatian Times
American sports firm Xsport is interested in establishing new sports venues in Croatia, including a national basketball training facility in Zagreb.
Xsport founder Tom Novak told the Croatian Times: "The only thing I can say at this point is we will soon discuss the viability of a national basketball training facility in Zagreb. That's all I can say for now.
"We are quite interested in Croatia and in other parts of the world. Because we are doing due diligence at this stage, we are legally bound to remain silent until the conclusion of our talks in Croatia," Novak added.
Novak, some of whose ancestors came from Posedarje close to Zadar, said: "We have had meetings with top officials in Croatia and have already discussed potential sites. We are working with investors all over the globe. There are many corporate and private investors interested in the future of Croatia and it's potential who want to be involved in the revamping of its sports infrastructure".
