Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz have signed Croat defender Gordon Schildenfeld, it emerged today (Fri).
Schildenfeld will join the club coached by Franco Foda on a one year deal from Besiktas Istanbul.
The 24-year-old was loaned to German second-league side MSV Duisburg last season but only competed in four matches.
Schildenfeld
has already arrived in Styrian spa town Bad Radkersburg where Sturm
Graz are preparing for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
Sturm Graz is the former club of Ivica Vastic and Ivica
Osim.
Schildenfeld
started his career at HNK Šibenik where he played in 94 matches between
2001 and 2007. He then joined top club Dinamo Zagreb where he was
capped 32 times in one year.
He won his only international cap
when he came on as a substitute in a friendly between the Croatian
Under-21 team and Denmark in March 2006.

possible this is the last transfer for the new season."
