Croatian basketball coach Repesa resigns
Croatian Times
Croatian national basketball team coach Jasmin Repesa has decided to resign and not to extend his contract.
Repesa is planning to engage in club training.
He apologized one more time to Croatian fans because of bad play at Euro Basket 2009 in Poland in which Croatia came in sixth.
Repesa also recounted his mistakes in order to give the next coach a chance to avoid them and to do better than he had done.
He mentioned the code of player behaviour, special services, training and better monitoring of players' health as things that needed improvement.
He also said Croatia needed to play more attractive basketball.
The new Croatian basketball coach is expected to be chosen by 15 December.
