Government rewards Winter Olympic Games medal winners
Croatian Times
The Croatian government has awarded Croatian Vancouver Olympic medal winners Ivica Kostelic, Jakov Fak and their fellow team members a total 398,000 kunas or 55,000 Euros.
Croatia’s best skier Ivica Kostelic won two silver medals and Jakov Fak, Croatia’s best biathlon athlete, won bronze in the Olympic men's 10-kilometre biathlon sprint.
Kostlic will receive 65,000 kunas or 8,959 Euros for each medal and Jakov Fak will get 46,000 kunas or 6,339 Euros.
Ivica’s father and coach Ante Kostelic was awarded 65,000 kunas (8,959 Euros ).
