Police finds incriminating evidence in soccer fan clubs HQ

Croatian Times

Police have found a stash of weapons used in a football riot that left one officer blind during a raid on suspected football hooligans.

Officers found bats with fascist symbols and the name of the club Dinamo etched into them, and used fire-torches in the raid on the house near the stadium in Maksmir.

The riot on 1 May during a match between Dinamo and Split Hajduk left several people injured including a polieman who lost an eye when a firecracker was thrown in his face and a fan shot by riot police.
