Five Croatian body-builders suspended for doping
Croatian Times
Five Croatian body-builders have been suspended after the results of sample analysis, performed in an Austrian doping control laboratory, confirmed four positive results in doping tests.
The Croatian agency for the fight against doping in sport conducted a doping test at the Croatian body-building championships held in Sisak on 22 May 2010.
Body-builders Mirsad Skaljic, Marijan Mesec, Miroslav Kolobaric and Robert Horvat
tested positive, among other drugs, for mesterolon, metandienon, anabolic steroid stanozolol, furosemid and nandrolon.
The fifth, Robert Meznaric, ran out of the room in which the tests were being conducted,
which was considered a violation of the rules.
The Croatian body-building federation disciplinary committee has decided to suspend the offenders for two years except for Horvat, who was suspended for two months.
