Zagreb crowned Croatian T20 Cricket Champs

Croatian Times

Hrvatski Sokol Cricket Club from Zagreb are the Croatian T20 cricket champions after going through the 'Sveti Ante' Cup undefeated in the Dalamtian city of Split on the weekend.

The Zagreb club beat both Sir William Hoste Cricket Club from the island of Vis and also the hosts Sir Oliver Cricket Club from Split to retain the title they won in 2011.
It is the second title in just over a month for the Zagreb team after they won the Vis International Sixes tournament held on Vis in May.

Split's Croatian international Nikola Davidovic picked up the best batsman of the tournament award, whilst his fellow team mate Petar Mardesic was the tournaments best bowler. A match winning innings of 99 from Zagreb's Daniel George in the final saw him take away the player of the tournament award.
