300 fans turn up to welcome Croatia home from Euros

Around 300 fans welcomed the Croatian football team home at Zagreb airport last night. Coach Slaven Bilic, who is now no longer in charge, could not avoid the enthusiastic hords of people as he made his way to the bus, writes website Tportal.
"I am going to see my girlfirend, mum, kids and dog, and on Monday I fly to Moscow with the rest of my support crew," said Bilic, who takes up his new role with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.
Although the side was exhausted from Monday night's match and the travel home, a few of the side had time to talk to the waiting reporters.
"Today is worse than yesterday. We were so close, but it wasn't to be. I am proud that I am the captain of this team and we have more work to do," said captain Darijo Srna.
