Mandzukic signs for Bayern Munich

Croatia's hero at the European Championships in Poland and Ukraine, Mario Mandzukic, has signed a lucrative deal with German giants and Champions League finalists Bayern Munich, reports daily newspaper Vecernji list.

The deal will see the Croatian striker, who is currently joint leading goalscorer at the Euros, earn around 3.5 million Euros a season, more than double than he currently is earning with German side Wolfburg.

Mandzukic, who was being chased by a host of clubs including Juventus, Lokomotiv and Everton, signed with the German giants late on Tuesday in a deal that will see him stay at the Bavarian club until 2015.
