Double on debut for Croatian in English Premiership

Fulham's new Croatian signing Mladen Petric found the net twice in his first match in the English Premiership to give his side a convincing 5-0 win over Norwich on the opening day of the season.
The brilliant debut from the former Hamburg striker started in the 41st minute when he headed home to make it 2:0. Petric made it two in the 54th minute with a left footed strike from 25 meters.
Petric's impressive performance sent a message to new Croatian coach Igor Stimac as the Fulham stiker has been out of favour with the national selectors for a while. Petric was not the only Croatian to find the net on the weekend, Ivica Olic scored a hat-trick for his new club Wolfsburg in their 5:0 demolition of Schonberg in the first round of the German cup.
