Sandra Perkovic wins Diamond League

Croatian discus thrower Sandra Perkovic has continued her dream run by winning the prestigious Diamond League meeting in Zurich yesterday.
Perkovic, who won gold at the Olympic Games in London earlier this month, has now banked over 106,000 US dollars for her Diamond League win. Perkovic threw 63.97, short of her Olympic winning throw of 69.11 meters.
"Conditions were not favorable. Just as it was in Paris, it was raining since three o'clock. It was important to win and I done that. Conditions were difficult, but I was much better this time than in Paris," said Sandra.
