Pescara president promises to pay 800,000 Euro to Hajduk within three days

The president of Italian football side Pescara has sought to defuse a row with Hajduk Split over an outstanding 800,000 Euro installment for forward Ante Vukusic, saying the club would pay up "in the next two or three days." Pescara and Hajduk Split were at loggerheads over the unpaid transfer fee of 3.7 million Euro which the Italian side had promised to pay in three installments. But Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani said Wednesday that Hajduk Split had "nothing to worry about" and insisted the club "will get paid to the last cent."
