Pula

Pula to offer new tourist attraction

Croatian Times

The Croatian city of Pula in Istria has a new tourist attraction. Tourists will now be able to take an ancient historical tour of the city in an interesting way. During the visit tourists will see Roman monuments, plays, create ceramics and mosaics and taste Roman food. The tour is called 'The Roman Pula.', reports daily newspaper Glas Istre.
The concept for the Roman tour came from the Pula Tourist Board, the Archaeological Museum of Istria and the Pula Tours.

During the two-hour tours tourists will visit Roman monuments with guides dressed in Roman clothes. From the Arena and the Temple of Augustus, where they will take in a show, they will then will resume the tour at the Archaeological Museum. Guests will be able to see live how people in that time dressed, got made-up, done their hair, and they will also have the opportunity to participate in making pottery, Roman mosaics and taste Roman food.

"We are aware that now is a little late for a travel agency, but we wish to show them the commercial product and then they can offer it from next season to guests," said Director of the Pula Tourist Board Sanja Cinkopan Korotaj.
